We miss your children’s happy, smiling faces every day, and we hope that your families are healthy and well during this COVID-19 crisis. You are constantly on our minds, and we are so appreciative of all the parents who responded to our survey. During this time that we have been excitedly anticipating our reopening, we have received several inquiries regarding both the management of our tuition, and of the financial well-being of the school. Many of you have expressed concern over keeping our doors open and a commitment to providing a helping hand. In addressing both of those concerns, we want to assure parents that no tuition will be required until the school reopens, as we remain sensitive to the hardships that many families are enduring. If parents would like to voluntarily contribute all or a portion of their tuition costs during our closure to cover our overhead expenses, and it does not in any way jeopardize their own family finances, we would humbly and gratefully accept.
The week of March 30th is designated by the MVUSD as spring break, during which time we will be taking the opportunity to evaluate the details of our reopening including staffing and an official date. At this time, a reopen date of April 6th or April 13th looks reasonable, as we are mindful of parents who provide essential services and are depending on us for child care. But because we are carefully monitoring the information and recommendations by epidemiologists and our county health department, we appreciate your flexibility during this rapidly fluctuating situation.
While we acknowledge that our students are eager to get back to school and resume their normal routine, our highest concern remains for the health and safety of our Murrieta Ranch families. Upon reopening, we will be practicing extreme vigilance where sanitizing, disinfecting, and screening of staff and students are concerned, as well as maintaining class sizes of no more than 12. For parents who have specifically expressed to us their need to resume child care, we will be advising you at the end of spring break of your options in regards to our reopening.
Again, we cannot thank you enough for your faithfulness and support during these unprecedented and uncertain times. We are grateful for our strong community and look forward to a brighter future.
Cindy and the Murrieta Ranch Staff
